Privacy Policy
This policy explains how St Stephen’s Restoration & Preservation Trust (“we”, “the Trust”) handles your personal data, and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Who we are
St Stephen’s Restoration & Preservation Trust is a registered charity (number 1075080) at Pond Street, Hampstead, London NW3 2PP. We are the “data controller” for the personal data described here. To contact us about your data or this policy, email ststephenstrst@aol.com.
What data we collect
This website does not collect personal data through forms — enquiries are made by email or telephone. If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to give us: your name, contact details and the content of your message. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies (see our Cookie Policy).
How we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your information to respond to your enquiry and to administer venue hire and events. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in running the charity and replying to people who contact us. Where the law requires us to keep records (for example Gift Aid claims on donations), our basis is legal obligation.
Donations
If you donate through the “Donate” button, your donation and payment are handled by JustGiving under their own privacy policy. If you choose to share your details with us through JustGiving (for example for Gift Aid), we act as a controller of that information and use it only for those purposes.
Cookies and embedded content
We use only essential cookies. Some pages can show embedded content such as a Google map, which may set its own cookies; we load it only after you consent through our cookie banner, or when you choose to load it. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We may share it with service providers who help us run our website and email, and with JustGiving for donations. We share only what is necessary and require them to protect your data. If any provider stores data outside the UK, we take steps to keep it protected.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as necessary for the purpose we collected it — for example to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards — and then delete it. Records we must keep by law (such as Gift Aid records) are kept for the period the law requires.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- ask us to restrict or object to our use of it;
- request a copy in a portable format, where applicable;
- withdraw your consent where we rely on it.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at ststephenstrst@aol.com.
Complaints
If you have concerns about how we handle your data, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will appear on this page.
